Sridevi's 1st Death Anniversary: This is How Bollywood Remembered Her

It’s been one year now since the entire nation woke up to the shocking news and that was the sudden demise of legendary actress Sridevi.

The first Lady Superstar of Bollywood “Sridevi” who died in Dubai on February 24, 2018, left the entire film fraternity in grief. She has left a void which remains and can never be filled by anyone else.

Chandani actor made her Bollywood debut as a child artist in Julie in the year 1975. Soon she became one of the biggest female actors and was also called the first Indian female superstar. Later she was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor, by the government of India.

She also appeared in a pivotal role in the film MOM(2017), a box office success. And her last on-screen appearance was in Aanand L. Rai's film Zero (2018) in a cameo.

Marking the day, yesterday many of her fans paid tributes and homage and filled the social media on her first death anniversary. Additionally, many Bollywood celebs also have poured their heart out, remembering the lady superstar who has set a prime example for many more generations to follow. Including those who have seen Sridevi taking her first steps and worked with her in the industry to those who idealize her as a role model, all put something on their wall to pay tribute to her.

Her daughter and Dhadak actor Janhvi Kapoor paid tribute to the Bollywood’s legend and her mother on Instagram. She posted a photo of her hands intertwined with that of her mother and captioned it,

“My heart will always be heavy. But I’ll always be smiling because it has you in it.”

Further, Sunita Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s wife also took to her Instagram handle and posted a photo along with the caption,

Further, Filmmaker Farah Khan also remembered Sridevi by posting a photo on Instagram and wrote,
