The revisited version of the song is truly nerve-soothing and is sure to melt your heart. It features the film’s lead actor and actress Emraan Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary romancing each other, depicting their love story.

The original song belongs to 1987 Bollywood film Satyamev Jayate that starred Vinod Khanna, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Anita Raj and Madhavi in the leading roles. The song had two versions: Bappi Da sang the male version, and S Janaki voiced the female one. Bappi Da reused his tune for the superhit song Chirodini Tumi Je Aamar from the 1987 Bengali blockbuster movie Amar Sangi.

Talking about the recreated version, the additional lyrics are written by Manoj Muntashir besides the original lyrics that were penned by Farooq Kaiser. The music composer Rochak Kohli has given a refreshing touch to the original song composition by Bappi Da.

Cheat India is produced by Gulshan Kumar, Parveen Hashmi, Krishan Kumar, Tanuj Garg, and Atul Kasbekar under the Ellipsis Entertainment and Emraan Hashmi Films Production. It has been written and directed by Soumik Sen. The film’s Co-Producers are Vinod Bhanushali, Shanti Sivaram Maini, Swati Iyer Chawla, Sunny Khanna, and Piya Sawhney.

The film revolves around an unscrupulous businessman (played by Emraan) who grants fake certificates to undeserving engineering and management aspirants in the exchange of bribe and also operates an entrance examination racket. It is slated to release on 25 January 2019.
