After making so much news and grabbing the entire nation's attention last year with only her one killer wink, Priya Prakash Varrier is again in headlines with her teaser of Sridevi Bungalow as Bollywood debut. But this time, it’s controversial!
Yes, ever since the one-minute forty-nine-second teaser of Priya Prakash Varrier's film ‘Sridevi Bungalow’ dropped, has become the subject of discussion in the entire film industry.
The teaser begins with the lady giving an autograph while introducing herself as Sridevi, one of the well-known stars. Also, it features the actor in the glamorous avatar and can be seen leading the life of the Bollywood icon.
As the teaser proceeds, we come across the various shots of Priya Prakash (Sridevi) having a luxurious lifestyle. Further, teaser ends with the shot of a bathtub with a woman’s legs hanging out.
However, the entire clip, either it’s sipping a glass of wine, following a fitness regime, or the shot of a bathtub all scenes, depict the grand life of the late veteran actress Sridevi.
Well, after watching the teaser, everyone is asking one question- Is this film based on the life of Sridevi? And, when Malayalam actress was asked this question at the teaser launch, she kept her answer very neutral and responded by saying-
“People can perceive it in the way they want.”
Even Boney Kapoor, the husband of Late Sridevi, has slammed a legal notice on the film for obvious reasons. The Film Director & Malayalam film-maker Prasanth Mampully announced that they received a legal notice and in an interview with Cinestaan.com, he said,
“We received a legal notice from Mr. Boney Kapoor last week and we will face it. My film is a suspense thriller. I told him (Boney Kapoor) that Sridevi is a common name. My character also happens to be an actress. We will face it.”
Further, he said,
“I cannot talk about the film. That is something you will know when the film is released. Sridevi is a character, an actress, in my film. The character’s name is Sridevi. Anybody can be called Sridevi. The story can have certain incidents which happened in Sridevi’s life. This is a suspense thriller. I can’t talk more about the film.”
Not only Boney Kapoor, but also Twitter slammed Priya Prakash Varrier's Bollywood debut.
The Bollywood film, surrounded by several controversies, is reportedly made in the budget of Rs 70 crore and the film’s shooting is still going on in London. Well, the fans of wink star are however excited to watch her again on big screen.
