Avengers: Endgame Beats Titanic & Becomes the 2nd Highest Grosser

The day Avengers: Endgame was released, it was speculated that the movie would break all the previous records of cinema. And, that’s what is happening day-by-day!

Recently, it made headlines by becoming the only Hollywood film to cross the Rs 300 crore Rubicon in India as the movie had grossed Rs 346.31 crore.

At first, Indian film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted,

Then, now today it again made the headlines by breaking yet another long-standing record at the global box office. The movie has beaten the lifetime gross of James Cameron 1997 epic Titanic in just 11 days of its release. Also, it is climbing up the list of all-time highest grossing films at the worldwide box office.

Titanic had made a whopping $2.187 billion in its entire run at the box office which also includes the amount it earned in its 3D re-release. Whereas, Avengers: Endgame has made a solid $2.188 billion with a strong second weekend at the worldwide box office. Hence this puts its name on the second position under the list of highest grossing films at the global box office.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - $2.068 billion
Avengers: Infinity War - $2.048 billion

Well, by looking at the stats, all we can say is that the movie is now just $600 million behind the highest grossing film in the world “Avatar” who had a made an unusual $2.788 billion at the worldwide box office in its entire run. The most interesting stuff about Endgame is that it has reached $2 billion marks in just 11 days, while Avatar did the same in 47 days.

While talking about the US box office, Avengers: Endgame has become the 9th highest grossing film, right behind Star Wars: The Last Jedi's $620.1 million and also reached $600 million marks grossing $619.7 million.
