Actor Vivek Oberoi Unintentionally Promoted Salman Khan’s #Bharat

Among the several illustrious B-town celebs who attended the glittering swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday, Vivek Oberoi was also there who recently even essayed the role of PM in the biopic titled PM Narendra Modi.

After doing a movie on PM Modi, Vivek’s fondness for him grew further. After the occasion, he posted a tweet expressing happiness with his fans and followers about the honor of being invited to the event. And he mentioned that he watched PM Narendra Modi “bhai” taking oath for the third time since his journey from being Gujarat’s CM to now as the PM of India for the second time.

Although in the tweet he posted of himself with PM Modi, Vivek accidentally promoted ‘Bharat,’ the upcoming flick of Salman Khan. And, a hashtag he used in the caption soon caught the eye of Twitterati. He accidentally used the hashtag on word Bharat which was accompanied by an emoji of Salman’s look in Bharat.

So when the fans began to point out the gaffe in reply to the post, he immediately removed the tweet and re-posted the tweet without the hashtag “#Bharat.”

Here’s how his original tweet looked like with the hashtag.

“Honoured to be invited again to the swearing in ceremony. I’m watching @narendramodi bhai taking his oath for the 3rd time on his journey from CM Gujarat to PM of #Bharat once again! Feeling like a small part of an incredible history 🇮🇳 #ModiSarkar2 #NamoAgain #ModiSwearingIn”

And this is the fresh tweet he posted after removing the hashtag.

“Honoured to be invited again to the swearing in ceremony. I’m watching @narendramodi bhai taking his oath for the 3rd time on his journey from CM Gujarat to PM of Bharat once again! Feeling like a small part of an incredible history 🇮🇳 #ModiSarkar2 #NamoAgain #ModiSwearingIn”

Apart from Vivek, other celebs from Bollywood who were in attendance at the grand swearing-in ceremony in Delhi were Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Divya Khosla Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor with wife Mira Rajput, and many more.

Besides this, Vivek recently made headlines due to a meme controversy, where he had tweeted a meme on the likening of poll results to the Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s personal life. He found it “funny,” but the netizens, The National Commission for Women (NCW), and Sonam Kapoor & other celebs from the Bollywood found it “misogynistic” and “insulting.” Eventually, he apologized and deleted that tweet.
