URI Trailer: Vicky Kaushal in the Most-Anticipated Film of Coming Year

From Masaan to Raazi to Sanju and now URI, Vicky Kaushal has swiftly established himself as the new-age hero to watch out. His powerful acting in Masaan won him the IIFA, Screen and Zee Cine Awards for Best Male Debut in 2016. He has been giving consistent performances and appeared as one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood today.

Now, his upcoming flick URI is also most-anticipated flicks in the coming year, and after the teaser release on 30 November, it’s time for the trailer. Even in the tweet with the teaser, it was mentioned that on 5th December, the trailer would be released.

And, as per the promised date, on Wednesday 5th December, the trailer came out!

URI trailer reveals the glimpses of the fully exciting performance of Vicky Kaushal. Well, the plot of the film is based on true events of 2016 surgical strikes on Pakistan when Jammu & Kashmir Uri Base Camp was attacked. In the film, Vicky Kaushal is playing the role of an army officer who leads the covert military operation.

In the starting of the trailer, a brief introduction to the film's storyline is showed:

"On 18 September, 2016, 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at Uri Base Camp, Kashmir."
After that, Vicky Kaushal's enters and vows to take revenge for the attack and asks his senior for posting him anywhere they want. Apart from Vicky Kaushal, the movie also stars Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina. Yami Gautam plays the role of an intelligence officer who is interrogating a terror suspect. And, Mohit Raina is making his Bollywood debut with the film.

Talking about Uri, Vicky Kaushal had said in an interview with news agency IANS,

"It was really nice experience to work in the film. In a short span of my career, Uri has been the most physically demanding film for me. We have worked really hard to make that film."
