Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Kavi Kumar Azad, popular as Dr. Hathi has passed away on Monday (9th July) after suffering cardiac arrest. Reportedly, the actor was not well and was admitted to Wockhardt Hospital. He played the role of Dr. Hansraj Hathi on the show for almost eight years.
The Death news of actor Kavi Kumar Azad was confirmed by the creator of the show Asit Kumar Modi. He said,
“We are very sad to inform loss of our senior actor Kavi Kumar Azad. He was playing the character of Dr. Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. We lost him to a massive cardiac arrest today morning. He was an amazing actor and a very positive person”.
“He truly loved the show and always came for the shoot even if he was not feeling well. He called today morning that he is not well and will not be able to come for the shoot. And later we got the news that he passed away. We are all too numb to say anything,” said Modi.
This is indeed a sad news for the entire star cast of the show and his fans who loved watching the show and Dr. Hathi. It is no secret that Kavi was an important part of the show and it is going to be very difficult for everyone to accept this news.
After the news of the famous actor's death, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' team has reportedly stopped the shoot at Film City, Mumbai.
The creator of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Asit Kumar Modi, took to Twitter to express his feelings after hearing the news of the shocking death of actor Kavi.
Fans of the show also can’t believe that their favorite character of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,
Dr. Hansraj Hathi, is no more. Many took to Twitter to express their sorrow.
Kavi was a great actor. Apart from the show, Kavi also featured in few Bollywood films including Mela and Funtoosh.
