Former External Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj whose tweet was “I was waiting to see this day in my lifetime” about the scrapping of Article 370 is no more between us. This news not only saddened the political figures but the entire nation.
Swaraj, 67, breathed her last on the night of August 6, after suffering a cardiac arrest, at Delhi's AIIMS hospital. The moment triggered a huge outpouring of grief from the political, diplomatic, and the entertainment world.
Many people from the Indian film fraternity, including Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Rishi Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Karan Johar have expressed grief over Swaraj's demise, calling her "an extraordinary leader."
