However when he was asked about his absence in the campaign, he said "Main dil se saaf hoon (My heart is clean). Also, I find it a bit odd to sweep with the broom and gloves on".

"I think it is a great example of symbolism and is it important to have such symbolism to create awareness. When we actors get associated with brands, one shouldn't think that just because we are using it they should also start using it. The main intention is to create awareness through symbolism. One shouldn't see a photo ops as publicity. It is done to create symbolic awareness which is important when it comes to cleanliness. There are a lot of issues that need awareness. When we travel in cars, we have the tendency of throwing things out of the window. If someone creates an awareness through symbolism that it is wrong, the next time before throwing you will atleast think about it. So I think creating symbolism especially for cleanliness is very important" said SRK.
