Personal:
Shreya is born in a Bengali family on 12
th of March in year 1984. Her father is an Engineer and her mother is a PG literature student. Her father was posted to Mumbai and then later on she continued her studies there.
Shreya Ghoshal at a very young age of 6 started taking training in music. For almost 18 months she had taken training in playback singing later on she continued the classical music training in Mumbai itself.
Education:
She has done her schooling from Rawatbhata from AECS (Atomic energy Central Schools) and also from Mumbai from Anushaktinagar. Later on she passed her graduation from SIES College in Arts stream.
Career:
From very young age
Shreya Ghoshal is crazy for music. Just from the age of 4 she used to join her mother on different musical instruments. She always follows her mother on harmonium. Might be her parents got to know about her interests in music so they enrolled her for more training in classical music in Kota. But she became popular when she won the Sa Re Ga Ma contest of children special which aired on Zee TV.
The famous director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was very much impressed by her sweet and melodious voice that he gave her break in his movie Devdas. She sung Bairi Piya in Devdas movie. Just from this first chance the sweet voice of Shreya continued to step up high in peaks and different directors and producers approached her many songs.
Husband:
Shreya got married with her boyfriend Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya on February 5, 2015 in Bandra. Only her close friends and family members were present for blessings.
