Indian Superstar Rajinikanth’s Tamil debut 'Lingaa' splashed the screens of 3200 theatres on December 12th Dec. It is the first film of the south to collect Box Office Collection of Rs 102 crore club within three days of its release.
KR Ravikumar's 'Lingaa' is now listed under the maximum grossing Tamil film of 2014 beating "Kochadaiiyaan" and "Vijay's 'Kaththi".
First Weekend Collection of Rajini and Sonakshi Sinha’s 'Lingaa'
In Tamil Nadu, the movie grossed Rs 55 crore, while in the rest of India collection is nearly at Rs 26 crore and the overseas collection stands at Rs 20 crore. Lingaa's total box office collection worldwide now stands at approximately 102 crore rupees. If the movie runs at such a pace in 2nd week than it's only about a few days till it reaches Rs 200 crore mark as well.

Rajini is playing dual role in Lingaa movie with Bollywood Actress Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty playing the female leads.
As per the expectation, Tamil film ‘Lingaa’ has received outstanding response from Rajini’s fans all over the world. This is the headmost regional language movie that scorched its way into record number of theatres.Lingaa has not depressed its producers and distributors for it has already created a new record at box office in its first weekend.
