Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one great leader of the period as he is a man of his words. When he started ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, ’ it was not only for common people, but he also contributes at its best. And recently on Saturday, he went Plogging on Mamallapuram beach, winning praise and awe from entire India, including Bollywood celebrities. Yes, celebs like Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Karan Johar, and Vivek Oberoi took to their social media handle and praised PM Modi.
For those who are not aware of Plogging, it is the process of picking up trash such as used plastic bottles, while running or jogging.
At first, PM Modi released a three-minute video on Twitter, in which he was seen collecting the waste as he walked barefoot on the sand. He also urged the people to ensure that public places are clean and tidy.
He wrote,
“Plogging at a beach in Mamallapuram this morning. It lasted for over 30 minutes.
Also handed over my ‘collection’ to Jeyaraj, who is a part of the hotel staff.
Let us ensure our public places are clean and tidy!
Let us also ensure we remain fit and healthy.”
