A report carried in a news portal recently stated that, The Chief Minister of Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah has complained about the illustration of Kashmir in the movie Haider. Reacting to the reports out against the Shaid Kapoor and Sharaddha Kapoor starring movie, he tweeted, "So this website has to be awarded for the most amazing work of fiction I have seen in a very long time."

Being an adaptation of William Shakespeare's famous drama Hamlet, Vishal Baradwaj’s movie revolves around the violence and aggression aroused during the tumultuous period in Kashmir.
