September is known as the autumn’s best cheer, and yes, it has come with the best of flicks on screen for all of us to enjoy. There are a number of interesting movies waiting to be released this month.

Bollywood has a lot to offer to its audiences with the films belonging to different genres. With the films like Laila Majnu, Gali Guleiyan, Love Sonia and Pataakha, September opens doors for the newcomers in Bollywood.

Here is a complete rundown of the movies to be released in September.

Laila Majnu- September 7

The movie is presented by Imtiaz Ali and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Preety Ali. It is directed by Sajid Ali. It is starring newcomers Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Dimri. The film glorifies the classic image of Laila and Majnu where the two lovers do not give up and fight against all odds.

Paltan- September 7

The film is based on 1962 Indo-China War and the clashes between India and China in 1967 when Indian soldiers had to protect Nathula Pass in Sikkim. It is directed by JP Dutta and casts Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chouhan and many others.

Gali Guleiyan- September 7

Gali Guleiyan is an Indian psychological drama directed by Dipesh Jain. The film presents the story of a man trapped in the cobwebs of the city. The star cast of the film has Manoj Bajpayee, Shahana Goswami, Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi, Om Singh, and Arbaaz Khan.

Manmarziyaan- September 14

Manmarziyaan is a romantic drama film which presents the phases of love and how it is being put to trials. The film is directed by Anurag Kashyap. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, and Tapsee Pannu.

Love Sonia- September 14

Love Sonia is directed by Tabrez Noorani. It throws light on the agony of flesh trade and human trafficking. The star cast includes Mrunal Thakur, Richa Chadha, Rajkummar Rao, Manoj Bajpayee, Freida Pinto, and Anupam Kher. The film has already been awarded the Best Indian Film at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2018.

Mitron- September 14

The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vikram Malhotra. It presents a story of a young lazy man who finds difficult to achieve his dreams amidst social and cultural background. The star cast includes Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu- September 21

The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh. It is a social drama film based on the electricity issues faced by the people in the interiors of the country. The star cast includes Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Divyendu Sharma.

Manto- September 21

Manto is a biographical drama film directed by Nandita Das. The story revolves around the much acclaimed Urdu poet Saadat Hasan Manto who fought for his freedom of expression in the post-independence era. The star cast includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rasika Duggal, Tahir Bhasin, Javed Akhtar, Rishi Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Paresh Rawal, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Rajshri Deshpande.

9.5 Weddings- September 21

The film is directed by Namrata Singh Gujral. It depicts the story of an American Journalist who travels to India and covers the Indian weddings and discovers the gloomy side behind the happiness. It stars Nargis Fakhri and Rajkummar Rao.

Pataakha- September 28

The film is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj which depicts comedy in the relationship of two sisters who are at war with each other. The film stars Radhika Madaan, Sanya Malhotra, Vijay Raaz and Sunil Grover.

Sui Dhaaga- September 28

The much-awaited Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga will be in theaters on September 28. It is directed by Sharat Katariya. The film revolves around the idea of pride and self-reliance where Anushka Sharma plays the role of an embroiderer, and Varun Dhawan plays a tailor.
