The yesterday’s episode of KBC was very special not only because it was Karamveer episode but also because it was the birthday of the ever gracious and charming host, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Turned 77 on Friday, Mr. Bachchan received many surprises.
The show began with yesterday's rollover contestant Sunny Prajapati who quit the game and went home with prize money of Rs. 12, 50,000. Firstly, Sunny sung Happy Birthday for the actor, and the audience followed suit. And, afterward, music maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his two sons joined the night as a melodious surprise for the show's host Big B. They played a rendition for Big B and dedicated a ‘raag’ to the late Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
On performing the ‘raag’ for Big B, Amjad Ali Khan said,
“We have seen how Amitji has taken care of his parents selflessly till their last breath, with utmost respect and love. Therefore, we knew how happy he would feel dedicating this musical rendition to his father.”
Apart from that, Big B was given a surprise with an old clip that featured Amitabh’s father, Harivansh Rai, and young Amitabh. The clip made him feel nostalgic, and he said,
“These people make me so emotional sometimes. It has been years since my parents have passed away.. Now, after watching this, I just don’t feel like playing.”
