The legendary actress of Bollywood Hema Malini is celebrating her 70th birthday today. Ove the years, she has been sweeping up off our feet with her age-defying beauty, enchanting smile, and brilliant performance on silver screen. From playing the iconic Basanti in Sholay until now, she knows how to light up the screen with her presence.
Featuring in over 150 films so far, Hema Malini debuted in acting with the Tamil film Ithu Sathiyam and has ever since portrayed every character on the screen with sheer intensity.
Throughout her career in most of her movies, she was seen alongside her husband Dharmendra as well as with Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna. She was promoted as Dream Girl and later played the titular role in a 1977 eponymous movie. She has played both comic and dramatic in her films.
She went on to receive several awards, accolades, and recognitions during her career including 11 Filmfare nominations and Padma Shri. her last film release was Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi in 2017 in which she played Vijaya Raje Scindia of Gwalior with Late veteran actor Vinod Khanna as her husband.
