After posters, it’s teaser time for “Gully Boy”! And since the teaser has come, it earned over 9 million views very easily and quickly. The teaser has also announced the date of the trailer launch which again made the audience impatient for the trailer.

The one and a half minute video shows an attractive glimpse into the Zoya Akhtar directorial. Also, this gives both an introduction to Ranveer’s character and the concept of ‘Asli (real) Hip-Hop.’ Also, Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin made an appearance. The video is clearly showing that how the film is based on the life of street rappers of Mumbai, and no wonder it seems quite intriguing.
The video also gives the glances of blooming romance between Ranveer, Alia and Kalki Koechlin as well as battles of both the physical and the rap kind.
The trailer announcement video starts with beatbox sounds where Ranveer Singh wakes up and gets ready. Then soon we get to see Ranveer preparing and rapping lyrics of his songs in Mumbai streets. Just like in the poster, Alia looked extremely intense in the trailer announcement video as well. This is again a de-glam and rugged avatar of her as seen in Udta Punjab. And further, in the video, we can see Kalki playing the role of a carefree girl. No doubt, seeing Ranveer and Alia together on the screen leaves you wanting to see more of them.
The video ends with Ranveer saying, “Apna Time Aayega (Our time will come)” and then we get to know the trailer release date of Gully Boy. As per the video, the trailer will hit YouTube on January 9.
According to reports, the most part of Gully Boy is shot in Dharavi. Interestingly, the movie is based on the lives of Mumbai rappers Naezy and Divine. In one interview with Hindustan Times, Divine had appreciated Ranveer’s performance in the film. He said, “Ranveer is the man, He’s the best man to do the movie and he’s killed it.”
