‘Khiladi of Bollywood’ Akshay Kumar is flaunting his another victory as his movie ‘Gold’ has become the first Bollywood film ever to release in Saudi Arabia.
Directed by Reema Kagti, Gold has become the second Indian movie to release in the Gulf Country. Before this, Rajinikanth’s social drama ‘Kaala’ was released in Saudi Arabia.
Akshay took to Twitter to share the news with his friends and fans.
“The story of India’s first Gold medal victory for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Happy to share, #Gold is the first ever Bollywood movie to release in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, in cinemas from today! @excelmovies @ZeeStudiosInt,” he wrote.
Gold is a sports-oriented film that portrayed India’s iconic win at the 1948 London Olympics in a fictional way. Along with Akshay, Mouni Roy, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, and Vineet Kumar Singh are also in the lead roles.
It was released on 15 August 2018 and has been appreciated by the audience. The movie has gained both critical and commercial success, and it has recently joined the 100 crore club.
