‘Game of Thrones’ Finale Review: All We Can Say it’s a Bittersweet Ending

Finally, after 73 episodes, near about 200,000 slayings and earning of untold millions of dollars, Game Of Thrones is over.

Bitter but true, that world’s most popular show has aired its last episode, The Iron Throne, yesterday. And it won’t be wrong to say that it was pretty good!

In the 80 minutes episode, David Benioff (an American television producer, writer, and director) and his collaborator D. B. Weiss wrapped up the show that’s conferred eight seasons, seven houses, hundreds of thousands of corpses, and two continents. Needless to say that considering all, they did a decent job at it. Also, there was no way this show was going to give us the perfect conclusion.

The finale episode opened with Tyrion roaming the ash-strewn ruins of King’s Landing, scene of Daenerys’ handbrake turn into full-blown lunacy last week, along with falling of bricks. Well, the audience still thinks that the Lannister twins have died beneath them. Viewers had signed a petition for the writers to revamp the last season, while the final season saw the end of the White Walkers by the third episode to Daenerys Targaryen’s going wild and demolishing King’s Landing during the ride on Drogon.

Fans were also going through some nostalgic moments in the episode, for example, Jon reuniting with Ghost or Drogon crying over Dany’s death, with the latest episode shelling out several symbolic plot points that connected it to the previous seasons. Though, the saddest of all was Bran Stark being the King of six kingdoms.

It could be said that the story came full circle, and the visuals were amazing. Also, it can be said that most of the predictions for the finale came true.

Game of Thrones still manages to leave an indelible mark on the soul of every viewer immersed in the story, despite all the pitfalls. And, that’s what we as fans need to remember. And also it is applaudable that the makers did present the “bittersweet ending” they promised.

Like all journeys, this one was also bumpy. Game Of Thrones has delivered romance, action, tragedy, and humor over the years through some of the most amazing characters, and it has been thoroughly enjoyable plus interesting.

Every fan of the show will go back and watch the series time and again. Even if one will not be entirely happy with the way the story unfolded, they will even recommend it to others. So, we must remember that the show has not ended, as we bid goodbye to this beloved series.

Well, the finale episode got mixed reactions. Yes, few liked it, few not. Hence, they have gone on a hilarious meme fest showing their emotions about the season finale episode.
