Since the episode from Koffee with Karan Season 6 when Sara Ali Khan mentioned that she fancied to date Kartik Aaryan, everyone is excited to watch Sara and Kartik's on-screen chemistry.
And, according to some reports, the duo is all set to act in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal 2. Well, this is not it! The movie is all set to take off in Delhi next week according to sources.

She even posted a video about schedule wrap on her Instagram account. In the video, both the actors are seen introducing as well as addressing the camera just before they greet their fans from a balcony. Not only that but both the actors even cut the cake and celebrated their big win at Filmfare Awards and Zee Cine Awards on the last day of the shoot along with the team.

It has been reported that this upcoming project will be the sequel of Saif Ali Khan - Deepika Padukone starrer Love Aaj Kal. However, there was no confirmation about the same.
But, according to the latest report, the makers have named the film 'Aaj Kal,' and from the title, it does sound like it’s a sequel to Saif-DP starrer.
On the project, a source said that Sara, Kartik, and Randeep Hooda have been doing readings for a while now. They said,
“Unlike Imtiaz’s previous two films—Jab Harry Met Sejal and Tamasha—which were set in foreign locales, this one largely unravels in Punjab and Delhi.”Not only Sara but Kartik Aaryan has also confirmed the news and said that he is roped in for Imtiaz's next. He said,
“He is one of my favorite filmmakers and I have always wanted to work with him. I am glad it’s finally happening.”Moreover, speaking about the movie, some sources stated that Randeep’s role would be similar to which was the role of Rishi Kapoor’s in Love Aaj Kal. The film will be co-produced by Dinesh Vijan and Imtiaz.
Hence, it’s official that the movie is going to be the sequel to Imtiaz’s 2009 rom-com Love Aaj Kal which featured Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Rishi Kapoor in lead roles. Reports were abuzz that the movie would also feature Saif Ali Khan, but the actor denied the news and stated,
“I’m happy to sell my stake and not be a part of the film. It’s a business deal.”Well, must say, no one cares it’s a sequel or not but everyone is surely excited to watch Sara and Kartik together on screen.
Also, some sources have revealed the dates. So the film has been slated to release on Valentine's 2020.
