The rumours are indeed true, Bigg Boss 8 gets a month’s extension, but Salman Khan won't continue as the host. The Show was supposed to be end on 4th January, will now end in February 2015.
Bigg Boss 8: Salman Won’t Continue as the Host
Bigg Boss 8, which is being hosted by Salman Khan. Salman‘s contract cease in January, the production team started looking out for his substitution, and the replacement is Farah Khan who is a big fan of the show and she agreed to come on board.

BB8 has certainly got a month extension from January 4th because the show is doing well and the TRP of this show is jumped up since last few weeks. Now Bigg Boss is ending in February month. As the rumors said, Bhaijaan won’t continue hosting the show.
Bigg Boss 8 Host Salman is Too Busy in Upcoming Flicks
The Bollywood Dabangg Khan is scheduled to shoot for Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ and Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and hence the show needs a new host. Because Salman Khan is busy from January in his upcoming flicks.
The ‘Happy New Year’ director or well known choreographer Farah Khan will host the nation’s most controversial reality show BB8 from January 2015. We all are surprised and eager about how the choreographer and director will turn out to be as the Bigg Boss host.
There is no official confirmation as yet, but it would be curious to see if Farah Khan takes over Salman as the host of the show.
