#CWC19: B-Town Celebs Wish England on Victory Against New Zealand

Finally, the tournament which was going through since a long time has been over. And, that too with a historical finals win. Yes, for the first time, England won the World Cup as they beat New Zealand in a dramatic Super Over after a nerve-shredding final ended in a tie at Lord's on Sunday.

The thing that made it historic is super over as the final came down to a six-ball shootout for each team after Eoin Morgan's side finished on 241 all out in pursuit of New Zealand's 241-8.

England's Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes took 15 off Trent Boult's over. And, from the new Zealand’s side, Martin Guptill and Jimmy Neesham came to bat and Jofra Archer bowled the over.

Wicketkeeper Jos Buttler and Jason Roy both made Guptill run out as he came back for the second, with two runs required off the final ball. England won due to a tie-break rule because they hit more boundaries as both sides finished on 15 in super over.

The moment winner was decided, fans finally rejoiced about the ‘cricket returning home, ’ and several congratulatory messages and good cheers flooded social media sites following their dramatic win.

Not from England only but cricket-crazy Bollywood stars, who were a little disappointed about India’s defeat in the semi-finals, also took to social media to congratulate the winning team. Some of them sent out some well-deserved applause to the winning team, while others cheered more for New Zealand as they claimed NZ as the "real winners."
