#Chandrayaan-2: Many B-Town Celebs Hail ISRO's Big Achievement

India's second mission to the Moon, Chandrayaan-2, was finally launched yesterday at 2.43 pm (Monday) from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

Soon after the mission launched, not only ministers and politicians but entire Bollywood fraternity took to their social media accounts and hailed ISRO scientists for the successful launch.

This mission is a follow-up to 'Chandrayaan 1', which affirmed the presence of hydroxyl on the Moon in the year 2009. The mission Chandrayaan-2 consists of an orbiter, a rover called Pragyan, and a lander called Vikram.

Based on reports from ISRO, the lander Vikram will make a soft-landing on the surface and release the Pragyan rover on 7 September 2019. This mission is aimed to explore the unexplored region from the lunar South Pole.

Initially, the launch was planned for 22 July, but due to some technical snag, the launch date was postponed. And finally, it has launched now.
