B-Town Celebs Congratulate #GoldenGirl PV Sindhu on Historic Win

On Sunday, P.V. Sindhu made India proud by becoming the first Indian to win gold at the badminton World Championships in Basel, Switzerland.

In just 36 minutes, Sindhu defeated Japan's Nozomi Okuhara in straight games 21-7, 21-7 to lift the women's singles title. This was her fifth medal overall and third consecutive final at the World Championships, making her the joint-most successful player in the prestigious event along with Zhang Ning of China.

Not only common people or politicians but the 24-year-old garnered praises and congratulatory messages from all quarters including Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan,  Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Taapsee Pannu among many others.

Putting to their social media handles, the stars congratulated her for her historic win and were all praises for the athlete.

Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and wrote,
