Arjun Kapoor is working on the film Half Girlfriend and he says that the film has been emotionally difficult for him.
The film is a romantic comedy directed by Mohit Suri. The actor plays the role of a young boy Madhav Jha, who is from Bihar and Shraddha Kapoor accompanies her in the film as the female lead.
Arjun Kapoor Felt Emotionally Difficult With Half Girlfriend
Arjun gave his statement to PTI
It has been an amazing experience working on Half Girlfriend. I loved working with Mohit and Shraddha and the entire team. It has been a difficult film for me emotionally because of the character I am playing.
He further added-
I have really enjoyed myself putting out there. Fingers crossed, hopefully, people will enjoy the film as much as we have enjoyed making
The film based on the novel written by Chetan Bhagat titled with the same name ‘Half Girlfriend’. Chetan Bhagat is also one of the producers of Half Girlfriend along with Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Mohit Suri. Arjun Kapoor praises Chetan Bhagat for his cooperation and non-interference despite his novel’s adaptation.
The best part about Chetan is he is non-interfering. He has never once come and told us that ‘I feel it should be this way and not that’. He is very collaborative. He takes a back seat and has allowed us to take his material and make it our own. It’s been a very good collaborative experience.

Arjun Kapoor has also been a part of ‘2 States’ which was again an adaptation from Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name.
With respect to the parameters Arjun judges before choosing a movie, he says his choices are directly proportional to the kind of cinema he has seen while growing up and would like to be versalite and play interesting characters.
The choice of films I make is directly proportional to the kind of cinema I have grew up watching. I also don’t stick to working with a fixed set of filmmakers. The versatility is partially intentional. And, I will continue to be making such choices.
Additionally he quotes -
Today, the biggest risk is to not take risks. In the beginning, I got different kind of roles and then I realized it’s great to be that way. And that thought is always there before signing a film. I aspire to play interesting characters.
Arjun's Next Film With Anil Kapoor
The next film Arjun Kapoor would be coming up with is a comedy flick ‘Mubarakan’. For the first time, he would be working with his uncle Anil Kapoor professionally. Arjun is quite excited about this venture and the shoot is likely to start in November.

Working with Anil Chachu will be a learning experience and a great fun. I am excited about the project as it is my first out and out comedy. Working with Aneez Baazmee will again be a great experience.
The movie also stars Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty on would be releasing on July 28, 2017.
Before this, we have Half Girlfriend hitting the theatres on May 19, 2017 and we are hoping that the film would be as rocking as ‘2 States’.
