Ajeet Becomes 4th Crorepati of KBC11; Big B Hails Him for His Gameplay

With the winning of Ajeet Kumar on Tuesday, KBC 11 found its 4th Crorepati and 3rd Bihari Crorepati. Yes, among the three Crorepatis of this season, two (Gautam Jha and Sanoj Raj) were from Bihar, and one (Babita Tade) was from Maharashtra. And now, Ajeet Kumar is also from Bihar. Amitabh Bachchan, the host of the quiz show, lauded Ajeet Kumar for his knowledge and even called the best player of the season for his smart gameplay.

Ajeet Kumar, a prison superintendent, made his way to the hot seat. He used two of his lifelines, namely audience poll and flip the question for two questions, which he did not know the answers of. The first question that Ajeet was not sure about was,

"Which film did Manoj Kumar make at Lal Bahadur Shashtri’s request, based on the slogan 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan'?"

For this, the correct answer was Upkar.

And, the second question which Ajeet could not answer was-

"Who, according to scriptures, was the father of Garuda, the king of birds and the vehicle of Lord Vishnu?"

Well, the correct answer to this question was Kashyap. And, since he didn’t know the correct answer, so he decided to use flip the question lifeline and pick the category ‘Heritage & History.’ For that, the question he was asked was,

"Q. Which of these freedom fighters was not part of the Kakori Conspiracy of 1925?"

And, Ajeet correctly answered this question, i.e., Damodar Chapekar.

The most shocking thing about the game was, Ajeet used a 50-50 lifeline on the question, which was for 1 Crore and answered it correctly.

Further, in an interview with indianexpress.com, Ajeet said,

“It was an amazing experience to be on the show. When I got through the audition, I had the confidence that I will do well but never did I imagine that I will take home Rs 1 crore. It’s a very special moment and a lifetime experience for me. Honestly, there’s no end to my happiness and this feeling cannot be expressed in words.”

He also shared his experience about sitting in front of KBC 11 host Amitabh Bachchan,

“It’s so difficult to keep your calm in front of him. He is a superstar and it really took effort to not lose my concentration. If you see the episodes, I was trying to not look at him much. I wanted to keep my focus and play the game.”

Then when he was asked about how he intends to spend the prize money, Ajeet Kumar said,

“The money is very big and it will definitely help me in getting a better lifestyle for myself and my family. We can easily use it for all our necessities. Also, I want to help people around me who need financial aid, so a sum will also be spent there. And if it’s possible, I would like to help in forming rehabilitation centres for convicts.”

The 40-year-old also talked about his family’s reaction,

“Everyone is overjoyed. The training institute that I am associated with planned a screening, where everyone watched the episode together. It’s an overwhelming feeling to see so many people happy because of me.”

Later, he also said that he fancied winning Rs 7 crore,

“I was really hoping that I would be the first one to take home the big prize money. But when the question came, I knew it wasn’t an easy one. I didn’t want to take a risk and so decided to quit.”

Further, he was asked how he is managing to know all such answers along with his job. On this, he said that he has been prepping for a job as a jail superintendent.

He said,

“I have always wanted to work for the betterment of society. Also, I love challenges and attempting these exams is always exciting. After winning Kaun Banega Crorepati, I am more confident about my entrance exams. I know I will pass with flying colours.”

The show Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 broadcasts on Sony TV Monday-Friday at 9 pm.
