Anurag Kashyap ‘Udta Punjab’ the most awaited movie, surrounded with lots of controversies. The movie has been involved in controversies with the Censor Board from the beginning. The movie is a crime thrills film based on Punjab’s crucial drug abuse problem.
Kashyap has co-produced Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan together on screen after a long back with Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles.

Shahid Kapoor ‘Udta Punjab’ Is Not Banned
For past few weeks there were rumors that the movie is banned due to abusing,expletives and portrayal usage of drugs in movie.Censor board did not gave the approval. But Anurag Kashyap cleared all rumors by giving statement“That controversy has been created by you (media), so you give a solution. You declared the film ‘banned’ when nothing of that sort happened…,”From the source we heard that the song ‘Chitta Ve’ may not be a part of the film. CBFC has demanded to shred 40 scenes from the film.
From the source it has been revealed that CBFC has objections to the word ‘Chitta’ (white) in the song, which has been used as a reference to, cocoaine. They also did not like the usage of words ‘paidashi h****i.’
The song features Shahid Kapoor who is always on full high with drugs when he performs on stage as Tommy Singh. The Song is been out from the internet, television, and the phone.
Let’s see when the wait will vanish. Excited! To see Shahid Kapoor as Tommy Singh in ‘Udta Punjab’. Hope the movie gets released on June 17, 2016.
