Tanu Weds Manu Returns Music Review- A Total Quirky Outing!

The sequel of 2011 released Aanand L Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns movie is soon to hit the theaters. This time the filmmakers are set to bring Double Dhamaal on the screens, with not just one but two Kangana! We mean two of her characters!

Hearing quirky and interesting tracks from the prequel we were looking forward, some of the most hilarious and quirky songs of the year with the album and we could say that as much as the unconventionality is concerned the lyricists and music director duo passes with flying colors. To let you know, the music of the film has been composed by Krsna Solo and the lyrics penned by Raj Shekhar.

Banno:

The album opens up with Banno, which is a quirky song with a blend of full on Desi lyrics and has been sung by Swati Sharma and Brijesh Shandlya. The song could be taken as the new age version of Banno teri… that we have been raised hearing.

Mat Ja Re:

Mat Ja Re is a serious and emotional number unlike the other Dinchak sort of songs. Crooned by Ankit Tiwari, the song is a good take that one could enjoy sitting back, especially the antra.

Move on:

The lyrics suggest that the song has been used in the movie on the occasion on someone’s heartbreak, however it not that usual sentimental song that we often heart. Instead, it is a metal song, sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.

Old School Girl:

This song has been recorded in two very different versions. One of the versions is a simple English jazz number with sensuality and sensuousness. Jyoti Nooran has done a tremendous job with the song and it indeed worth hearing.

Old School Girl (Haryanvi Version):

And here comes the Haryanvi version, and believe us, you would die out laughing hard hearing this song. Crooned by Kalpana Gandharv, the song is sure not to wipe off your smile throughout, so we would specially suggest hearing particularly this amongst the other Tanu Weds Manu Returns songs!

Ghani Bawri:

With fullto Haryanvi accent, the Ghani Bawari song is interesting track with intriguing lyrics. Meanwhile you might also get to hear Joyti Nooran rapping as the desi Haryanvi Yo Yo!

Ghani Bawri (Remix):

Ghani Bawri remix is a strong song with remix beats, loud voice and Haryanvi accent. It is crazy entertainment number with infectious rhythm and has been recorded in the voice of Jyoti Nooran.

Ho Gaya Hai Pyar:

Sung by Dev Negi is his melodious voice, the song is a perfect love outing. It gives out the sense of re-love and is a soft number that one might love hearing on loop.

Sathi Mere:

O Sathi Mere is a love number by Sonu Nigam and is a soft number with a calming feel embraced to it.

All in all, we would gives a thumbs up to Tanu Weds Manu Returns songs, agreed that there isn’t any chartbuster in the album, but it is indeed an eye-catching attempt with freshness as its USP!
