Rumors were spreading that the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's upcoming dark drama Bollywood film ‘Farzi’ has been shelved due to the poor box office performance of the movie ‘Happy Ending’ directed by Raj and DK’s. “Raj and DK are taking the customary breathing time before starting the movie. We have Shahid Kapoor’s dates from Feb month and the movie was always expected to go on floors by Jan end or Feb month beginning. Shahid Kapoor too has just wrapped up movie Shaandaar In which he romances Alia Bhatt so even Sahid Kapoor wants some time before he can begin this movie Farzi,” said by a source.
Directors Denied the Rumor That ‘Farzi’ Was a Remake of Any Movie
According to a report ‘Farzi’ was based on internet hacking, but the directors of the film Raj and DK denied this rumor.They said, "It's something that is probably our best script. It's a solid plotline, great narrative, almost gritty but has its wicked satirical sense of humour. It's set in a big world of crime. Shahid is a great fit. Farzi has Nawaz playing a very strong feature role. He is not a baddie just but he has a great fully fledged role opposite Shahid. There is a gamut of brilliance and of course, the film is such that it will thrive on acting alone."
