In yesterday’s episode of Koffee with Karan Season, 6 Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan spoke about her equation with her stepmom Kareena Kapoor. She was accompanied by her father Saif Ali Khan on Karan Johar’s talk show.
Talking about her relationship after Saif & Kareena’s marriage, Sara said:
"Kareena still says that 'look, you have a mother and you have a great mother at that.' And what I want is for us to be able to be friends."
Commenting about Saif’s viewpoint, Sara said: "My father also never said that this is your second mother." And when Karan jokingly said to Sara about calling Kareena ‘chhoti maa’, Sara replied: "I think Kareena would have a nervous breakdown if I was to call her 'chhoti maa'."
On Saif and Amrita’s relationship, Sara said that they’re happier now. She added, "I feel that it's very important to respect what other people want. I see my father today and I see my mother today and they are both much happier than I think they would have been together. And therefore everybody around them is happier. And I think what I have now is two very comfortable homes as oppose to one very uncomfortable home. I really think that I win."
Moreover, Saif told Karan about a letter he wrote to Amrita when Saif & Kareena were about to tie the knot, "When I was getting married to Kareena and Sara was very excited and wanted to come over.. For some reason, before going down I wrote a note to Amrita. And I said, 'You know this is a new chapter starting, we have had our history and everything. Something along the lines of good wishes, I hope for both of us and something, you know to carry on, I sent it to Kareena. And I said, 'Have a look at this, if it's okay, I'm thinking of sending it across.' And Kareena said, 'I think it's really nice.' I sent it across and then Sara called me and said, 'You know I was coming anyway but now I am coming with a happy heart even more.'"
As we saw in the episode’s teaser, Sara indicated that she was a combination of both her parents. She said, "Imagine, I mean Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh have a kid, and that kid is me. Of course, I am weird."

On the work front, Sara will make her debut with the film Kedarnath also starring Sushant Singh Rajput. She will also be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in the upcoming Simmba. On the other hand, Saif was recently seen in the movie Baazaar.
