The first look of Vidya Balan’s upcoming release Begum Jaan is out today. The film plot is based on the partition period and the first poster of the film is shared by the actress herself on Twitter today captioning as “Aa Rahi Hoon Main”.
The picture which went leaked earlier showed a short glimpse of Gauhar Khan who plays as a prostitute in the film. Now the first look revealed by the makers, has hinted Vidya Balan fans to look forward to her exceptional performance to win another National Award winner.

Vidya Balan Looks Promising as the Madam of Brothel in Poster

That dazzling eyes and minimum jewelry and hukka serves as the highlighting point of the poster and gives a hypnotic look to the actress.
Apart from Vidya Balan and Gauhar Khan, the film also stars Rajat Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, veteran actress Ila Arun, Sumit Nijhawan and others. Going by the poster Vidya looks every bit of the madam of the brothel, this look of Vidya is designed by popular Bollywood designer Rick Roy.
Director Srijit Mukherji cleared in Hindustan Times interview why only Vidya Balan could look promising in the character –
There’s something about Vidya’s face, voice and body language. Frankly, if you think of such powerful roles, you can only think of Vidya or Rani Mukerji. Vidya was my first choice. I can’t think of other actors who can pull off this character.
The shooting of the film has been done in several parts of Bihar and Delhi. The film is all slated to hit the screens on 14th April 2017.
