After almost two decades long happily married life, Hollywood’s much known comedian Chris Rock has lately filed for divorce with wife Malaak Compton Rock. Well apparently, Chris claimed that Malaak is keeping their children away from him!
Chris and Malaak Compton-Rock to Call Their Marriage Quits
Wife Malaak Compton and Chris, who have two children with their long-term marriage, over the weekend confirmed that they would call off their marriage. The more shocking part about the split of the couple which came into sight, was Chris Rock’s claim that wife Malaak Compton is averting him from seeing his daughters, 10 year old Zahra and 12 year old Lola.

The 49-year-old actor reportedly filed for legal and physical custody of his daughters. Chris Rock who wasn’t happy with his married life took the first step forward, deciding to officially end his marriage. Both the parties announced the news of their separation via a statement,
Malaak Compton-Rock Asks for Her Family’s Privacy
“After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways,” stated Malaak Compton Rock, on Sunday.Being fortunate enough to lead a life of service by working with those most vulnerable makes me well aware of life's blessings, even when faced with difficulties.
“While recognizing that this is a significant change, my children remain at the center of my life and their well-being is my top priority.”“It is in this spirit that I sincerely ask that their privacy and the privacy of our family be respected during this transition in our lives” added Malaak.
Chris Rock’s co-star Robert S. Cohen from ‘Death at a funeral’ has also confirmed the split of the couple saying, 'Chris Rock has filed for divorce from his wife, Malaak,'
