Everyone loves Bollywood and any related news or rumours are spread in no time. The top grossing actor/actress, movies, love affairs, hits, and flops are no behind the curtain. We all about the lavishness these people live with.

But there is something hidden about them.We must also know about the good deeds they are doing. Most of the Bollywoodies are Bollywood charitable celebs playing their part for the betterment of the society by making donations, opening up their own foundations, supporting NGO’s and much more.

Here are 10 Bollywood charitable celebs who set a great example for the others.

Salman Khan

Not just the acting or body building, people worship him because of his good deeds. He loves children and stays no behind in helping them.

As much as he earns, he donates a huge portion for charitable purposes.

Salman Khan started a foundation called “Being Human” in order to provide support, education and healthcare facilities to the underprivileged children.

It has received a tremendous response and over the years has grown to be one of the notable charitable institutions.
Besides the foundation, he keeps making donations for other causes as well.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Although, she is a family woman now as a result of which her movie count has gone quite low but we still admire her. Not many know about the others activities, she has been involved into.
She is associated with the Eye Bank Donation of India in lieu of donating her eyes. Post this; she started “Aishwarya Rai Foundation” specifically for the help of poor and needy.

Later, in 2009, she became the first Goodwill Ambassador of Smile Train, an organization-wide internationally that provides free cleft lip and palate surgery to the poor and needy children.

John Abraham

John Abraham John Abraham, the hot and muscular personality. No one is unaware of his love for football and machines. But he has an equal love for animals.

John is actively involved in PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) and has run and supported several campaigns for the protection and betterment of animals.

He is also associated with the annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, Habitat for Humanity.

John has always had a generous heart for the homeless. He is a regular participant of fundraising and awareness drives in order to provide decent, safe and affordable homes to the low-income group of India.

Rahul Bose

Rahul Bose is an Oxfam campaigner, an international confederation of NGO’s behind the motive of global poverty alleviation. He was an active worker in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the relief and rehabilitation.

Rahul was also campaigning for “World without Discrimination” and has opened “The Foundation” for the same cause.

Besides these, Rahul Bose is also associated with Teach for India Movement and Spastics Society of India, aiming to support children with developmental disorders.

Shahrukh Khan

Well known as an actor and a mastermind businessman, King Khan carries another secret business. He is associated with more than 10 NGO’s and charitable trusts.

He makes donations to hospitals and also helps needy people with their medical concerns. Furthermore, he raises funds from his concerts for the calamity-hit people. He also donates the money received from his interviews for charity purposes.

Despite being busy with his career and family, Shahrukh manages to spend time with the mentally challenged and orphaned kids. He is also the first Indian to be recognized by UNESCO for his charitable works.

United Nations Office for Project Services appointed him as the first global ambassador, which aims to improve the lifestyle of people.

SRK is one amongst the Directorial Board of the “Make A Wish” Foundation that fulfills wishes of children suffering with fatal diseases. The actor along with his Dilwale team supported the Chennai flood victims with Rs. 1 crore.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka has been vocal and spread awareness about child rights. She has been an enthusiast for kids education particularly girls.

Seeing her continual efforts for the same, “United Nations Children Education Fund” (UNICEF) appointed her the ‘national ambassador’ to work for the education of Indian children.

‘Save the Girl’ campaign run by UNICEF received a long great association with Chopra since years. The amount raised is further invested in creating a secured environment for girls in India.

She also supports the 10x10 charitable events, which raises funds for the social issues in our communities.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra

Known for her perfect figure, the stunning actress, Shilpa Shetty Kundra was the winning fame of reality show Big Brother. She has donated all the prize money to the AIDS Awareness campaign.

Shilpa is also involved with PETA and their campaigns. Another charity campaign “Act Against Bullying” aimed at anti-bullying, Shilpa motivates victims providing them with practical solutions.

Dia Mirza

The actress has been an important part of Andhra Pradesh’s government campaign to spread awareness of HIV and female foeticide.

She is also an active supporter of the Cancer Patients Aid Association, PETA and CRY (Child Rights and You).

Currently, she is speaking for the Green Environment Campaign.

Shabana Azmi

Shabana Azmi opened her NGO ‘Mijwan’ for the upliftment of underprivileged children. It was named after the village Mijwan in UP.

The actress has also set up educational institutions, computer and sewing&chikankari centre in the village.

The welfare society organizes various events for raising funds. One such recent event was ‘Mijwan Celebrity Fashion Show’.

Aamir Khan

The Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood industry has been extending his track for welfare causes apart from Satyamev Jayate.

In the year 2013, he carried out a campaign for Uttarakhand flood victims to encourage donation and he himself donated Rs. 25 lakhs for the same.

He made his contribution to the rural water conservation programme as well by donating Rs. 11 lakhs to the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Aamir is also associated with UNICEF. Being the Goodwill Ambassador here, he stays on his front foot for helping the needy.
