Shamitabh’ is an upcoming Bollywood movie, which is directed by R. Balki and produced by Sunil Lulla and R.K. Damani.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is playing a lead role in it along with famous South actor Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and the ‘Kolaveri Di’ singer Dhanush. Kamal Haasan’s daughter actress Akshara Haasan also starring in this film.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Role is Very Different in Shmitabh

Recently the movie makers launched Shamitabh trailer and poster also. According to rumors, Amitabh’s character in Shmitabh, is similar to his 1973 super hit movie ‘Abhiman’. But Big B says it’s totally wrong, there is no similarity with his film ‘Abhimaan’.

In ‘Abhimaan’ movie, Amitabh and his wife Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan played the singer’s role whose marriage hits the rock when the husband (Amitabh play this role) finds it hard to deal with the growing popularity of his wife.

"Abhimaan was the story of a couple where the wife was more talented than her husband. In Shamitabh it's a story of two people. One person has something which the other person doesn't. Then comes the role of Akshara, who is a journalist. She is the one who will evaluate the two and get them to come together. The story is around these two people and their egos," Mr Bachchan said in an interview.

About Big B’s Role in his Upcoming Movie ‘Shamitabh’

Big B is ready to blast the silver screen with his upcoming back to back three movies ‘Shamitabh’, ‘Wazir’ and ‘Piku’.  Shamitabh is set to be released on 6th February, 2015.

"He (his Shamitabh character) is frustrated in his life and sometime he takes the help of alcohol. There were many roles in the past where I had played such scenes but in every film the situations and the characters are different. Thus changes the way you perform on screen," Big B said.

"But, I strictly believe that drinking alcohol is not good for an actor. There are some actors who drink before doing such a scene but I don't believe in that and will never do that," he added.
