The new song titled “Aankh Marey” from most awaited film “Simmba” is out! And, it is no less than a party song. Yes, it will surely top every party playlist in the coming days.
It starts with Karan Johar’s words, "Another remix!" giving the introduction about the original version which was sung by Kumar Sanu and picturized on Arshad Warsi and Simran Bagga. The original number is from film Tere Mere Sapne which now has been revised by Tanishq Bagchi.
As the best feature, Arshad Warsi again made a special appearance in the dance track, along with his Golmaal series co-stars Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, and Shreyas Talpade. Well, the act of characters from the Golmaal series is enhancing the comic factor of the song, undoubtedly.
It has seen that Rohit Shetty has used many characters from his previous flicks to intensify the narrative of Simmba. Like, Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn in the Singham series) introduces the viewers to the hero of the new film, in the trailer. And, as alluded above, he has used characters from the Golmaal series to heighten the comic factor in the song as well.
Ranveer and Sara danced very enthusiastically in track despite that Ranveer Singh bothered Karan Johar's (producer of Simmba) connection towards remixing old songs for his films on recent episode of Koffee With Karan 6.
Despite the neon-light effect, the redux reeks the '90s nostalgia. However, both the melody and choreography have been kept almost intact.
Ranveer and Sara grooved to the most iconic Bollywood steps from the former tracks but also added portions of popping and locking to keep it relevant for the 21st-century viewers. The whole track has been sung by Neha Kakkar, Kumar Sanu, and Mika Singh. As is its trailer, the song is also another blockbuster from Simmba.
Well, Simmba is Sara Ali Khan's second Bollywood film releasing on December 28. Her debut film Kedarnath has already been released.
Simmba, produced by Johar's Dharma Productions and directed by Rohit Shetty, is based on Temper, the Telugu film which starred Jr NTR. The movie also casts Ashutosh Rana and Sonu Sood and slated to release on December 28.
